Week 24 ADELAIDE AND GREAT OCEAN ROAD

Tak už to asi nebudeme tajit. To břicho už stěně neschovám! 

Do Whyally jsem musela na první těhotenskou kontrolu. Vlastně mi pan doktor nic nepotvrdil, jen mi dal hromadu doporučenek, jednu na krev, další na ultrazvuk… klasické kolečko.

To, že jsem těhotná, už vím par týdnů. Člověk už to pozná! 

Jeden z prvních příznaků, které jsem měla i v prvním těhotenství je, že musím čůrat uprostřed noci. Docela komplikace, když člověk spí v autě! A ještě navíc, když je venku v noci 5 stupňů!!! Brrrr!

Na jednu noc jsme se zajeli podívat do národního parku Mount Remarkable. Nebýt otravných much, určitě bychom zůstali déle! Nádherný kemp byl přímo u řeky! V okolí bylo nespočet kratších i delších výšlapů, a tak se tady člověk rozhodně nenudil.

Naše další cesta vedla do Adelaide. Ve čtvrtek jsem měla první ultrazvuk. Všechny výsledky jsou zatím jak mají být, fazolka je zdravá a díky bohu jenom jedna! 

Adelaide je zajímavé město, historické budovy střídají mrakodrapy. V centru jsme navštívili místní tržnici s jídlem, a to rovnou dva dny po sobě! Já taková místa miluju! Jídlo je pro mě velká část cestování a ráda zkouším nové dobroty! 

Jednu noc jsme zastavili ve městečku Robe poblíž hranice s Viktorií. V karavan parku měli obří trampolínou a spoustu dětí. Taťka otestoval produkty místního pivovaru a mamka si koupila těhotenské tepláky. Jak je vidět, každý si během našeho cestování přijde na své!

Příští dva dny jsme se sunuli podél pobřeží směrem k Melbourne.

Když pršelo, jeli jsme, když na chvíli přestalo, zastavili jsme a šli se podívat po okolí.

Great ocean road je úsek cesty mezi městy Warrnambool a Geelong. První část tvoří útesy známé jako 12 Apoštolů. Hodně nám tahle oblast Austrálie připomínala jih Portugalska!

Mě se ale mnohem více líbila druhá půlka. Nádherně zelené kopce rostou přímo od pláží se smaragdově zelenou vodou, a cesta se místy klikatí snad vzduchem.

Ve městečku Lorne v srdci téhle nádhery se nám líbilo tolik, ze jsme tam na poslední chvíli zarezervovali chatku v lese.

Na terase na Charlinku čekalo překvapení - hejno obřích papoušků Kakadu. Nasypali jsme jim zrní, které pro ně v chatě měli a sledovali je od rozpáleného krbu.

Myslím, že se sem brzo vrátíme! S partou kamarádů a nebo s rodinou, a když bude tepleji. 

Teď ale rychle pryč! Melbourne plave, a celé jižní pobřeží se potýká s nebývale nízkými teplotami. Došly nám čisté svetry, peníze na hotely i trpělivost. 

Je čas to zabalit a vyrazit domů.

No point hiding it anymore. The belly is starting to show in all the photos.

I had to go to Whyalla for my first pregnancy appointment. Actually, the doctor didn't confirm anything, he just gave me a bunch of referrals, one for blood, another for an ultrasound....

I've known for a few weeks that I'm pregnant. The symptoms were exactly the same second time around!

One of the first symptoms I had even in my first pregnancy is that I have to pee in the middle of the night. Quite a complication when one sleeps in the car! And even more so when it's 5 degrees outside at night!!! Brrr! 

We drove to Mount Remarkable National Park for one night. If it weren't for the pesky flies, we would definitely have stayed longer.

The beautiful campsite was right by the river! There were countless shorter and longer hikes in the area, so you definitely never got bored there.

Our next journey led us to Adelaide. I had my first ultrasound on Thursday. All the results are as they should be so far, the jelly bean is healthy and thankfully solo in there.

Adelaide is an interesting city, historic buildings alternate with skyscrapers. We visited the local food market in the center two days in a row. I love such places! Food is a big part of traveling for me and I love trying new treats. 

We stopped one night in the small town of Robe near the border with Victoria. In the caravan park they had a giant trampoline and lots of children. Dad tested the products of the local brewery and mom bought maternity sweatpants. As you can see, everyone gets some during our travels.

The next two days we pushed along the coast towards Melbourne. When it rained, we drove, when it stopped for a while, we stopped and went to look around. 

Great ocean road is a stretch of road between the cities of Warrnambool and Geelong. The first part consists of cliffs known as the 12 Apostles. This area of ​​Australia reminded us a lot of the south of Portugal.

But I liked the second half much more. Beautiful green hills rise directly from the beaches with emerald green water, and the road winds basically along the sand.

We loved the town of Lorne in the heart of this beauty so much that we booked a cabin in the woods there at the last minute. 

A surprise was waiting for Charlie on the deck - a flock of giant cockatoos. We fed them seeds that the owners prepared for us and watched them from the warmth of the fireplace. 

I think we will return soon. With a bunch of friends or with family, and when it's warmer. 

Now hurry away! Melbourne is drowning, and the entire south coast is dealing with unseasonably cold temperatures. We ran out of clean sweaters, money for hotels and patience. 

Time to pack up and head home.
